Congratulations to Tom and Giovanna who got married yesterday. (:
It seems that Tom made everyone cried with his speech. Also, Carrie (Tom’s sister), Antony Brant, and the lads (from McFly I guess?) sang at the wedding.

Check out some pictures HERE and also HERE.
There’s no clear picture yet of Tom and Gi (probably because of an exclusive deal with magazine), but you could see Danny, Harry, and Dougie in the pictures from links above.

Once again, congratulations to the happy couple!

London, May 1 2012

Happy Friday everyone. And May the Fourth Be With You.
To celebrate Star Wars day, it’s only appropriate that we give you news about Tom.

While still in preparation to get married (he’s a busy lad, check out his twitter), he managed to squeeze performing-with-Ramin in his schedule.
According to Yahoo! OMG!, Tom joined Ramin on stage to perform All About You, and he felt that somehow he has cheated on the other half of Flones.

The pair sung McFly’s number 1 hit ‘It’s All About You’ and afterwards Tom joked he was betraying his band, when he said: “That’s the first time I’ve sung that song with anyone other than Danny.”

Tom Fletcher loved singing with Ramin SO much he even joked that perhaps Ramin would like to join McFly – and take his place. Not sure what Dougie, Danny and Harry would have to say about that

I couldn’t find a video of them singing All About You, but here’s one of Tom, Ramin, and Steve Young performing “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”

About a week ago, Keith Caulfield (of Billboard) posted this tweet.

Naturally, we as McFly fans are genuinely excited to read this interview not only because Billboard is a well-respected news source in US, but also because we’ve been following his tweets for a while and felt that he truly supported the band to come and rock US.

Well, the article is now online on Billboard.com.

CLICK HERE to read the interview where Keith asked Tom about touring the US, McFly autobiography book, recording new album, and One Direction.

I’m not going to post the whole interview here (click the link above and read it at Billboard), but here’s an exciting excerpt, especially for McFly fans in US.

While the British pop-rock band McFly has notched 17 top 10 singles and six top 20 albums on the Official U.K. charts since their debut in 2004, most Americans are still unaware of the four cheeky lads.

But that could change come September — when the band has tentative plans to head to the U.S. for a few targeted shows.

“We just want to go over and do some small shows for the fans that we know we have there,” says McFly’s co-lead singer and guitarist Tom Fletcher. “We’ve been wanting to do that for years and years and years and years. But we’ve just never had the opportunity, or something else has come up.”

“We have some fans in America that have been fans for like eight or nine years — right from the beginning — so much so that they fly over to see us in the U.K. It’s amazing that they are so dedicated. So I think we owe it to them to come over.”

More book news coming from McFly!
After announcing that the official McFly book is on the way, another book-related news surfaced from the McFly headquarter.

The Bookseller reported that Tom and Dougie are writing stories for kids. Random House Children’s Books has acquired two picturebooks by these two lads. The first one called “The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas” will be illustrated by Garry Parsons and is due to be released this October.

According to Tom, as reported by BBC Newsbeat, “This book comes from Dougie’s fascination with dinosaurs,My love for Christmas and a shared obsession with poop.”

On other news, Tom Fletcher is busy preparing for his wedding with Giovanna.
In article by Mirror, Tom stated that he has to write his speech on tour. Nevertheless, he’s quite happy to be the first (in McFly) to get married because the last one will get the worst stag do.
Danny, though, seems quite happy not to be the first. He commented that Tom is like a guinea pig and the rest of the guys in McFly will wait and see how Tom gets on before they decide anything.

And to close this post, check out a review and some photos from Margate concert HERE.

‘I Want’ Reviews

US, March 13th, 2012

As we already knew, Tom’s song ‘I Want’ was made into One Direction album. So, what do critiques said about the track?

No. 2: “I Want”

Sounds Like: Nothing else on the album, that’s for damn sure. With “I Want,” One Direction take a break from the boy band playbook—penned mostly by genre mainstays like Steve Mac and Max Martin acolytes Rami Yacoub, Carl Falk and Steven Kotecha—in favor of Tom Fletcher, lead singer of British pop-punk (emphasis on the pop, obviously) superstars McFly, who never quite made it over here but had seven UK chart-toppers. Fletcher’s contribution is a stomping, dramatic, piano-led number that sounds more like My Chemical Romance or Panic! At the Disco than JLS or The Wanted, a stunner on an album with an otherwise very consistent feel and sound.

Also:

“I Want” – Much-needed change-up, with a jaunty piano line during the verses and a (relatively) sinister, “Tainted Love” vibe on the chorus. It even has a cool breakdown!
