Dewsbury: Party In The Park
Yesterday, after performing at Staffordshire (V Festival), the lads were flown with a chopper straight to another gig, at Crow Nest Park, called Party in The Park. They sang Fight For Your Right (cover of Beastie Boys that they actually did some times ago) besides their own songs.
Here are some reviews:
CHART toppers McFly headlined a day of free pop and rock music as Party in the Park came to Dewsbury.
Thousands of screaming fans flocked to Crow Nest Park yesterday to see the four heartthrobs, who were flown in by helicopter straight from their performance at the V Festival in Staffordshire.
The chart superstars shared a stage with R’n’B man Ironik and pop rockers The Yeah You’s as well as a host of local bands.
The foursome, who have chart hits including All about You and Obviously, arrived on stage early for their set, which lasted over an hour.
And they surprised the crowd with a cover of the Beastie Boy’s 1986 song You Gotta Fight for Your Right to Party.

And here’s another one from Dewsbury Reporter:
Some teenage girls had been waiting at the front of the stage since 7am to guarantee them the best view of Danny, Tom, Harry and Dougie.
The McFly boys were fresh on stage from a performance earlier in the day at V Festival in Staffordshire, but despite their busy day their Dewsbury performance was exhausting just to watch as their boundless energy kept them leaping around the stage for an hour. The chart-toppers performance included popular hits which made the band famous including It’s All About You and a finale rocky version of Five Colours in Her Hair.
