Lottery or X-Factor?
According to Dougie and Harry, you have more chance winning lottery than succeed in music industry as X-Factor winner.
An excerpt from the article:
The chart-topping band’s members claim the number of acts who have become successes as a result of music reality shows is very low.
Harry said: “We do watch The X Factor and I think it is a good way to make it in the music industry, but it’s very tough – there’s thousands and thousands of people that enter but it’s one person a year, and generally from The X Factor it’s only Leona Lewis that’s been successful.”
Dougie suggested: “I think you’ve got more chance of winning the lottery?”

I think this is part of their interviews for Santander, but I couldn’t find video or anything else. Anyway, there is another short article, but it looks like it’s the continuation from that first article. In the second article, they talked about the Jonas Brothers.
Harry said: “They’re really nice guys, they’re cool – they’re very focused, they work really hard… they’re quite business minded and they’re always writing and recording stuff.”
EDIT:
And here’s another part I think.
McFly’s Dougie Poynter has confessed he follows Frankie from The Saturdays around when the girlband are on tour so he can be close to her. Skip related content
He revealed: “Me and my girlfriend, I don’t think we really find it that hard to make the relationship work when we’re both on the road because…”
Bandmate Harry Judd interrupted: “You just follow each other.”
Dougie admitted: “Yeah, fortunately when she’s been touring I haven’t been so I follow her about or visa versa.”
The boys insist they love touring.
Dougie said: “I wouldn’t say it’s tough being in a band and being on the road and stuff because about half the year is spent being on tour and playing gigs in different places and then the other half is based around England and being at home and stuff, recording, so it never gets too repetitive.”
Harry said: “There are times when we crave structure I suppose and to know what we’re doing, but we wouldn’t change it for anything, we’re very fortunate.”
