Carlton, June 13th 2010

As tweeted by Harry, he participated again in this year Teenage Cancer Trust’s Celebrity Cricket Match.
The match took place on Sunday, June 13th 2010. The TCT XI, captained by Mr. Judd, faced the Bunbury Cricket Club. They lost, but it doesn’t really matter since this is a charity game after all.

Olympic swimmer Mark Foster and pop star Harry Judd took centre stage in a celebrity cricket match in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).

The renowned Bunbury Cricket Club fielded an all-star team to face a TCT side on Sunday.

Former Australian cricketer Jeff Thompson, one of the fastest bowlers ever to play Test cricket, and ex-England international Graham Cowdrey, took the field.

Harry Judd, drummer from pop band McFly, captained the TCT XI and the celebrities included the actor Greg Wise. The match was hosted by Robin and Willow Wylie at The Old Rectory, Carlton, near Newmarket.

Helen Bearfield-Smith, the TCT’s regional appeals manager, said: “Once again the Bunburys entertained the huge crowd, and once again they won. Harry Judd’s TCT XI were so close to winning.

“But as the Bunbury captain, Dave English CBE, said at the presentation of the trophy, it was the charity that was the winner, with thousands of pounds raised for the TCT unit at Addenbrooke’s.

“The crowd was full of supporters, patients and their families, and the atmosphere was fantastic.”
