It’s been a while since our last update, so today we’re bringing you news, projects, and tasks (depend on how you see it really).

First of all…

Yesterday, McFly attended the charity tea party benefiting Shooting Star CHASE held at Dorchester. They also donated tickets (to their show) for auction at the event.

The auction included prizes donated by Chelsea captain John Terry, X Factor final tickets donated by Simon Cowell, McFly tickets donated by the boys themselves and tickets to meet Westlife and see them on their farewell tour, donated by Louis Walsh.

After first meeting 14-year-old carer Joseph and then Louise Morgan of The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Zoe Salmon is challenged to turn the volume up at the Young Carers’ Festival. Looking through her contacts book, she gives McFly a ring to see if they can help make the festival one that the audience will never forget. Zoe is also tasked with trying to secure funding for future events. Can she pull it off?
Meanwhile, Brian Dowling travels to Peterbrough to meet a woman who provides a support network for over 200 families with disabled children. She is a true unsung hero of the community, who provides a lot of love and support for some very deserving people.

ROWNEY Green youngster James Lynskey had the treat of his life when he was invited to perform with pop idols McFly at Birmingham’s LG Arena.

The 15-year-old, who suffers with a serious heart condition, met the chart-topping band before they performed at the venue last week.
The meeting was arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a UK charity that grants wishes to youngsters who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.

James has suffered with a heart condition since contracting meningitis with his twin Grace when just one-week-old.

We already sayin’ this over and over that Kevin McHale or Artie Abrams in Glee TV Series is a huge fans of McFLY. Now, turns out another Gleeks is a fan of the band too.

I’m a big rock fan. I love The Beatles, Elvis, guitar driven music. I also love pop. When I was 8 or 9, I was a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys. I used to be able to dance their entire show. As I’ve gotten older, I appreciate The Beatles and classics more.”
However, Lynch is quick to name McFly as his favorite band.
“My band is a really big McFly fan. McFly is a great definition of rock-pop,” he said.

McFly announced that the Wembley gig on April 1st will be live streamed on Super City and also a new McFly iPhone app!
The app looks like the picture above (from @tommcfly). You can download the app here for £2.99.
If you’re a pioneer, you can watch the live stream for free on mcfly.com.

McFLY have announced a new Gig at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday, August 13th 2011.

The pre-sale for Pioneers starting at 9am on Friday,arch 18 2011. Click this here to buy the ticket. The general sale will be start at 9am on Monday, March 21st 2011.

Guess who’s back??! It’s Dougie!
I know that we’re all excited that he’s back. Also, tour starts really soon.

Yesterday, his mom, @Samjmoody tweeted these:

Can I just say to each and everyone of you, thank you so much for
your care and consideration regarding Dougie!! My boy is back!!!!

By back I mean back to his old self laughing and joking and being Dugs again!!

And he noticed straight away I’ve had my hair cut short which is more than my husband did lol
