Dougie Poynter
Dougie Lee Poynter was the youngest member of the band, just around 15 when their first start the band. Actually, he was the one ‘blamed’ by his mates about them beating The Beatles as youngest band that got no #1 album in UK.
Born 30 November 1987 in Corringham, Essex, England, he was living just with his Mom and his little sister, Jazzie, before he joined the band. He took the spot alongside another band member, Harry, after answering an ad on NME magazine.
Being the youngest one in the band, the other members sometimes joked that he is always saying something before properly thinking, hence the fact that his quietness is a wise action. But, differently in stage, he is always manage to put a good show for the fans. From doing a stage dive in a concert to hang some ‘presents’ his fans throw-in to the stage in his mike stand.
He is currently living with his long time crush, Frankie Sandford from the girl band, The Saturdays. Also live with them are Doug’s Labrador Flea and Frank’s Presley.
