What is Battle of the Fans?

You can win a meet and greet on the MEMORY LANE – BEST OF MCFLY TOUR for a show you will be attending. International Fans and UK fans who won’t be at a date can enter as ‘International’ and compete for autographed tour programs.

How?

First, make a cover video of any of 17 Mcfly singles (see below) and post to YouTube. You can use a You Tube you made previously.

Second, if you are signed up to mcfly.com (FREE!) you can enter your cover video for voting. You can do the video anyway you want – sing the song acapella, over acoustic guitar, over music or any more creative video ideas.

When?

Voting starts Fri 16 November until 8 Jan. ANYONE CAN VOTE BUT MUST BE SIGNED INTO FACEBOOK AT THE TIME. To vote, click on the video on these pages to go to a page where you can see the video and also vote for it. You can vote for as many videos as you want but only once per video. You can enter a video anytime until voting closes.

Search for videos by region (UK or International) and by any of 17 mcfly hits listed and they will come up in order of current voting. You can also search by the name of the video maker. Click on the video on these pages and it will take you to where you can see the video and also vote for it.

THE RULES

The top 25 videos in the UK classification (ie you will be attending one or more tour dates) will win a pair of meet and greets. The top 25 videos in the International classification will win an autographed tour program. It is free to enter a video and free to vote.

Ask your friends and others to vote for your video. The winning videos will also be listed here throughout the tour. You can only vote on the video page in this competition (not directly in facebook) but you have to be signed-into facebook at the time you vote.

Enter you video at any time until voting closes. Voting begins on Fri 16 Nov and ends on 8 Jan.
To vote you must have a Facebook account and be signed into Facebook at the same time. If you are not, the system will prompt you to sign into Facebook.

To vote, just click on the LIKE button. This will be re-calibrated with Facebook on a regular basis and you will not be able to vote (like this page) more than once for a band.
You have to have a ticket to a show to win a meet and greet at that show. Once the 50 winners are established we will find out which shows the winners are attending to sign them up for a meet and greet.

McFly recreate the covers to their albums ‘Room On The Third Floor’, Wonderland, Motion In The Ocean, Radio:Active and Above The Noise as they act out some of the highlights of their career so far.. We’d like you and your mates to do the same and post your photos, gifs and videos to Tumblr & Twitter. Grab your copy of one of McFly’s album and strike your best poses to mimic the cover.
